We built Captixa because captioning a Short by hand means typing, timing and styling every line, and the online tools that do it for you want your footage and a monthly subscription.
Why it exists
The slowest part of a Short shouldn't be the captions
A viewer scrolling with the sound off only sees your captions, so they carry the hook. Getting them right used to mean an editing app and an evening. Captixa does the typing and the timing, and gives you the styles creators actually use, so you can spend that evening filming.
It runs on your own Windows PC or Mac. Transcribe offline with local Whisper, or with Groq or OpenAI where only the audio is sent. Everything else happens on your machine.

What you can expect from us
Your keys stay on your computer
Groq, OpenAI and Gemini keys are used from your computer to call those providers directly. They are never sent to us.
Try everything first
The Free plan has every caption style, and the Pro tools to set up and preview. Pro removes the limits and the watermark when you are ready.
Honest about accuracy
Speech-to-text can mishear a word. That is why every word is one click to fix before you export.
Honest about costs
No per-minute fees and no credits. If you use a paid AI provider, that provider bills you directly.

New styles, models and fixes arrive as normal updates to the app you already have.
