Groq, OpenAI and Gemini keys are stored on your computer only and used to call those providers directly.

Step by step, including what to do when Mac shows a security prompt for a new app.
If macOS says the app "is damaged and can't be opened", nothing is wrong with it. Follow the Terminal fix below.
xattr -cr "/Applications/Captixa.app"Why this happens: macOS marks apps that are not yet notarized with Apple as unknown downloads. The command only removes that mark. It does not change the app or turn off your Mac's security.
Most of these are one-time security prompts, and each takes a minute to fix.
The app is fine. Move it to Applications, then run this in Terminal:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Captixa.app"Right-click the app in Applications and choose Open, then Open again. Or open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway.
Run the command with sudo. It asks for your Mac password, and nothing appears while you type it. That is normal.
sudo xattr -cr "/Applications/Captixa.app"You probably have the build for the other kind of Mac. Delete it from Applications, download the file that matches your chip (aarch64 for Apple silicon, x64 for Intel) and install again.
Download the new .dmg, drag Captixa into Applications and choose Replace. Your settings, API keys and license stay in place.
Drag Captixa from Applications to the Trash, then empty the Trash. Your video files are never touched.
No gaming PC needed: Captixa exports on the CPU on any computer.

Yes. Captixa runs on Windows 10/11 and macOS, with a build for Apple silicon and a build for Intel Macs.
Choose Apple silicon if your Mac has an M-series chip, and Intel if it has an Intel processor. Check under Apple menu, then About This Mac.
macOS flags downloaded apps that are not yet notarized with Apple. Right-click the app and choose Open. If it says the app is damaged, run xattr -cr "/Applications/Captixa.app" in Terminal.
Not yet. On a Mac, Captixa exports on the CPU. It takes a little longer for 2K and 4K, and the video comes out the same.
