Submagic is a web app: you upload a video to app.submagic.co and it captions it there. Captixa is a desktop app for Windows and Mac: your video is read where it is on your computer, and only the audio is sent if you choose a cloud transcription engine.
Submagic sells monthly or yearly plans that cap how many videos you can make each month and how long each one can be. Its Starter plan allows 15 videos a month up to 2 minutes each at 1080p; Pro allows 40 videos up to 5 minutes; Business allows 100 videos up to 30 minutes and adds 4K at 60 fps.
