Captixa is a desktop app, not a website you upload to. Transcription runs on your PC with local Whisper, or on Groq or OpenAI with only the audio sent. Styling, editing and export all happen on your machine.

Captixa uses Microsoft Edge WebView2, which Windows 11 already has. On some Windows 10 PCs the installer fetches it for you, so stay online while it runs.
Update your NVIDIA or Intel graphics driver. Without a supported GPU, Captixa exports on the CPU, which takes longer for 2K and 4K.
Download the new installer and run it over the old version. Your settings, API keys and license stay in place.
Open Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps. Find Captixa, choose the three dots, then Uninstall. Your video files are never touched.
